NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)
The National Service Scheme is a central sector scheme of Govt. of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The sole aim of NSS is to provide a hands-on experience to young students for delivering community service. Since the inception of NSS in the year 1969, the number of students is increasing with every passing year.
Under the umbrella of AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV, an initiative of Government of India to commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements, NSS Units of the college are organizing an array of programmes throughout the year. Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav was launched on 12th March 2021 and will continue till August 2023.

MISSION:
Ø To understand the community in which they work
Ø To understand themselves in relation to their community
Ø To identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem solving
Ø To develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibilities
Ø Utilize their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems
Ø To develop competence required for group living and sharing of responsibilities.
Ø To gain skills in mobilizing community participation
Ø To acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitudes
Ø To develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters
Ø To practice national integration and social harmony
COLLEGE NSS
The college has two NSS units comprising of 100 volunteers each. Each NSS unit is led by a Program Officer, who plays a major role as an organizer, supervisor, coordinator, administrator of the NSS Unit under her/him.
