NAAC Re-accreditation of Grade “A”

Notice


It gives us immense pleasure to inform all the stakeholders of Govt. College of Education, M.A. Road, Srinagar, 

that the institution has been re-accredited with Grade “A” (CGP 3:52) on 10th March, 2012 by National Assessment and Accreditation Council an Autonomous Institution of the University Grants Commission. The NAAC Peer Team visited College on 22nd and 23rd of December, 2011. The team comprised of Prof. P Ramaiah (Chairperson), Professor and Rector, Pro Vice Chancellor, University of Hyderabad, Andra Pradesh, Prof. K.B. Budhori (Member Co-ordinator) former Head & Dean Faculty of Education, University of Himachal, and Dr. Leonilla Menezes (Member) Principal, St. Ann’s Autonomous College of Education, Mangalore, Karnatka. The Peer Team assessed the strength, weaknesses opportunities and challenges of the institution with reference to Quality Sustenance and Enhancement.

 

We heartily thank all who contributed for Quality Sustenance in particular to Department of Higher Education, Govt. of J&K, especially Jenab Abdul Gani Malik, Honb’le Minister for Higher Education, Madam, Tanveer Jahan IAS, Commissioner Secretary Higher Education, Prof. Muqbil Chasti, Director Colleges, for their efforts in maintaining the Quality Parameters of NAAC. Prof. Mustaq Ahmed Kaw, Dean College Development, University of Kashmir for encouragement & timely support. We are also thankful to Prof. Zaffar Ahmed Reshi, Head, Department of Botany, University of Kashmir for his pre NAAC orientation.

 

We are indebted to our college illumni “Qandeel” for their timely visits and providing valuable suggestions in the development of the institution. We are thankful to our dear students who whole heartedly worked hard for the Quality Improvement and Enhancement of the college. We express our deep gratitude to teaching & Non-teaching faculty for their hardwork & regular participation in all the activities of institution.

 

It goes without saying that the leader of the college, Dr. Parveen Pandit, the principal with the unparalleled appreciation as it was her  tireless efforts that gave us honor to maintain the grade.
